Wandering through the chaos the battle has left,
We climb up a mountain of human flesh,
To a plateau of green grass, and green trees full of life.
A young figure sits still by a pool,
He’s been stamped “Human Bacon” by some butchery tool.

Social Security took care of this lad.
We watch in reverence, as Narcissus is turned to a flower.

Plowing through an old todo list I found “365″ and Self-Portrait Day. Figured I’d give it a whirl. I won’t post the self portrait here every day, just on Flickr and the SPD site. Wanted to let you know I’m doing it, though.

Tomorrow: more cameras.

Have the pool cue story almost finished. Was interrupted at 20 minutes, so I have 10 minutes left. Have never “taken a break” during the writing of flash fiction, but there’s a first for everything.
